Walker Commits Political Suicide By Promising To Step Up His War On American Workers

With his poll numbers in free fall, Walker has decided to step up his war on American workers. …
scott walkerWisconsin's idiot Walker has dipped to 2 percent support in the latest Washington Post-ABC News national poll of the Republican cabal pretender race. With his poll numbers in free fall, Walker has decided to step up his war on American workers. Walker is hoping to use attacks on unions and working class Americans as a way to reinvigorate the Republican base. The idiot hopes his anti-worker message will restore his popularity with the wingnut voters who have abandoned him in droves since mid-summer.
The Wisconsin idiot has earned a reputation for being anti-worker, but because of his flagging poll numbers, Walker is trying to revive his campaign by reminding America just how anti-worker he can be. Running against American workers seems a dubious strategy at best. However, Walker’s success in stealing elections in Wisconsin despite supporting virulently anti-union policies, may have given him reason to believe that running against workers is a way to win elections.
Walker plans to unveil his “new, improved” anti-worker plan on Monday at a town hall meeting in Las Vegas. Walker’s plan calls for eliminating the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and for making it illegal for federal workers to form labor unions. In addition, he wants to pass a national so called “right to work” law, in an effort to weaken unions nationwide.
Furthermore, Walker’s proposal calls for repealing Barack Obama’s executive order requiring employers to pay overtime to some salaried workers. Walker also plans to reverse laws that require certain employers to provide paid sick leave for their employees.
Scott Walker does not seem to understand why he has dropped to just two percent support in the national polls. He has spent the past five years carrying water for the Koch brothers and other billionaires, and now with his poll numbers circling the drain, his solution is to double down by stepping up his attacks on American workers.
The Koch brothers and the plutocrats in the Republican cabal will love Walker’s new plan to escalate the war against the nation’s working class. However, wingnut voters in Nevada, New Hampshire and Iowa, might not be nearly as receptive. For the wingnut union truck driver, the wingnut middle manager at McDonald’s, and the evangelical cult secretary who needs time off to recover from an illness, Walker’s ideas are not going to be well received.
Not every Republican shares Walker’s contempt for working class Americans. By intensifying his war on paid sick leave, overtime pay and union organizing, Walker may impress a few Republican cabal donors with deep pockets. However, with rank and file voters, the Wisconsin idiot is essentially committing political suicide. A campaign that bets against the American worker is a campaign that is placing a losing bet. Scott Walker should cash in his chips, cut his losses, and follow Perry out the Republican cabal exit door, instead of continuing his mean-spirited crusade against America’s workers.

You Agree with Us … Or You Suck

You Agree with Us … Or You Suck
How did this happen?
We’ve all read the Constitution.
We’ve all studied its amendments.
We all understand the concept of democracy.
We all know how government is supposed to work.
We all understand free speech.
We know what compromise should look like.
Yet, here we are. If I criticize your favorite candidate, I become the enemy. If you criticize my favorite candidate, you’re the enemy. Doesn’t matter if we’re the same party.  Doesn’t matter that we’re all Americans. Doesn’t matter that we’re all human beings.
You are either like me or you’re not. When did our great national debate become a feud?
Our hatred for one another appears greater than our understanding. Is this really what we ALL want?

Winds Of Change Blow Through South As Democrats Are Winning Special Elections On Wingnut Turf

Donkey-kicking-GOP
For the second time in less than a month, a Democrat has pulled off a stunning victory over a Republican candidate, by flipping a State House race in an almost hopelessly red legislative district.  Democrat Cyndi Munson scored an improbable 54-46 victory in Oklahoma’s House District 85, a suburban district Northwest of Oklahoma City. Since 1965, when the district was first created, it had never been won by a Democrat. That changed on a Tuesday night.
The 85th District went 61-39 for Mitt Romney in the 2012 election. Yet, on Tuesday night, in a traditionally low turnout special election, the district turned a surprisingly solid shade of blue. Speaking to supporters after she’d won, Munson acknowledged the magnitude of her achievement, proclaiming:
Each time I heard it was an uphill battle I got more strength. This is amazing!
Munson lost her race for the same seat in 2014 by 13 points, but she battled back and emerged on Tuesday night a winner. She ran on a platform supporting education and women’s health, while opposing income tax cuts for top earners. In a deep red district her message resonated with voters, weary of the Republican cabal’s extremist stranglehold on Oklahoma politics.
As astonishing as Munson’s victory was, it was not the first Democratic upset of its kind this summer. In August, Democrat Taylor Bennett pulled off a similar surprise in Georgia’s 80th House District. Despite being outspent 2 to 1 in a district Mitt Romney carried by a 56-43 margin over Barack Obama in 2012, Bennett coasted to a 55-45 surprise victory over his Republican opponent, Max Davis.
Bennett won not by following the conventional wisdom of downplaying social issues in the South, but by being outspokenly liberal on social issues and standing firmly in support of LGBTQ equality. Like Munson, he won in a special election, when turnout is usually down and as a result, Republicans historically have enjoyed an advantage. Not this time.
While it may be too optimistic for Democrats to take the results of two special elections and call it a trend, it is worth pointing out that in two heavily Republican districts in the South, Democrats have overcome long odds to flip seats from red to blue. Maybe, just maybe, those two victories are a sign of more to come, as conservative voters join the rest of American in becoming fed up with the Republicans’ inability to govern.

Even Bernie Sanders Is Surprised By His Recent Boost In The Polls

Bernie Sanders Goes Into The Lion’s Den and Tears Apart Republican Cabal Religio-Wingnut Hypocrites At 'Liberty'

bernie sanders speaks at liberty university
In an amazing speech, Sen. Bernie Sanders went to Liberty 'University' and gave the lunatic fringe religio-wingnut evangelicals a dose of progressive faith, and tore apart the hypocrisy of supposedly faith-based Republicans defending immoral economic policies.
Sanders explained why he agreed to speak at Liberty, “I came here today because I believe that it is important for those with different views in our country to engage in civil discourse – not just to shout at each other or make fun of each other. It is very easy for those in politics to talk to those who agree with us. I do that every day. It is harder, but not less important, to try to communicate with those who do not agree with us and see where, if possible, we can find common ground and, in other words, to reach out of our zone of comfort.”
Later Senator Sanders turned the Republican support of inequality on its moral ear:

Let me be very frank. I understand that issues such as abortion and gay marriage are very important to you and that we disagree on those issues. I get that. But let me respectfully suggest that there are other issues out there that are of enormous consequence to our country and the world and that maybe, just maybe, we don’t disagree on them. And maybe, just maybe, we can work together in trying to resolve them.

It would, I think, be hard for anyone in this room to make the case that the United States today is a just society or anything close to a just society. In America today, there is massive injustice in terms of income and wealth inequality. Injustice is rampant.

There is no justice when the top one-tenth of 1 percent own almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent. There is no justice when all over this country people are working longer hours for lower wages, while 58 percent of all new income goes to the top 1 percent.

There is no justice when, in recent years, we have seen a proliferation of millionaires and billionaires while, at the same time, the United States has the highest rate of childhood poverty in the industrialized world. Twenty percent of all children – and 40 percent of African-American children – now live in poverty.
There is no justice when, in a rigged economy, the 15 wealthiest people in this country in the last two years saw their wealth increase by $170 billion. That is more wealth, acquired in a two-year period, than is owned by the bottom 130 million Americans.
There is no justice when low-income and working-class mothers are forced to be separated from their new babies one or two weeks after giving birth because they must go back to work to sustain their family and because the United States is the only major country on earth that does not provide paid family and medical leave.

There is no justice when thousands of people in this country die each year because they don’t have health insurance and don’t get to a doctor when they should.
Republicans don’t have an exclusive on morality, justice, and faith. Senator Sanders called out the Republican hypocrites who warp the bible to defend income inequality. Senator Sanders was brilliant. He turned the Republicans’ moral argument in defense of the billionaires against them.
Bernie Sanders made the inequality and poverty in the United States a moral issue. His argument was compelling. He discussed the immorality of the wingnuts’ economic policies. To progressive christians, how some Republicans have warped religion to defend policies that harm millions of Americans in need is a matter of outrage.
Senator Sanders said that the poor and the wretched had a right to go to a doctor when they are sick. Sanders said, “Money and wealth should serve the people. The people should not serve money and wealth.”
Sanders struck at the heart of a basic ideological hypocrisy, and in the process found some common ground with the students at Liberty 'University'.

Wingnut Voters Are Still Turned On By Trump’s Politics Of Insult And Division

A new CNN poll has Trump soaring to his highest numbers yet, as wingnut voters continue to embrace his politics of division and derision. …
GOP Voters Are Still Turned On By Trump’s Politics Of Insult And DivisionA CNN/ORC poll released on September 10th, shows Trump soaring to new heights in the Republican pretender race. The poll, conducted from September 4-8, found Trump gaining 8 percentage points since August. Trump now leads the Republican cabal field with 32 percent support, followed by Carson at 19 percent and Jeb at just 9 percent support.
Trump’s growing popularity was made possible by huge surges in support from college educated Republicans and from female Republican cabal voters. His campaign built on racist rhetoric and ridiculing others is now not only appealing to male voters and the uneducated, but it is increasingly capturing the hearts and minds of educated Republicans and female Republican cabal voters as well.
With Trump essentially winning across every significant Republican demographic, pundits are dumbfounded in trying to explain his popularity. None dare point out the obvious. Republican voters, by and large, support Trump’s loud mouthed bigotry and his unapologetic sexism. As unflattering as that conclusion may be, it is clearly demonstrated by Republican cabal voters continuing to flock to Trump as their first choice for pretender.
Trump’s latest controversial comments where he blatantly ridiculed Fiorina’s physical appearance are being rightfully criticized by journalists and fellow Republican cabal candidates alike. However, it is not likely to cost him votes. Since Trump’s insinuation that Megyn Kelly asked him tough questions because she was menstruating, helped him rise in the polls after the first Republican cabal 'debate', there is little reason to suspect he will suffer any fallout for him comments about Fiorina’s face. Mean-spirited Republican cabal voters after all, seem more interested in egging Trump on, than in penalizing him for his crude sexist remarks.
As long as Republican voters continue to reward Trump for being an obnoxious bully, he has no reason to stop hurling insults and zero incentive to dial down his inflammatory rhetoric. Journalists can criticize Trump all they want, but he is a symptom rather than the cause of the problem. He continues to perform well in the Republican polls, because Republican voters, male and female, educated and uneducated, seem to share his arrogant, simplistic and bigoted world view.

O’Reilly begs the Republican cabal field to be as ideologically excitable and politically incorrect as Trump

"The Trump-factor is obliterating standard campaign messaging and rhetoric," he said, so they need to up their game
