New Census data confirms major drop in uninsured in 2014

The coverage gains reflect growth in both Medicaid and private health coverage, and they occurred across population groups. These are the first Census estimates showing the effects of health reform’s major coverage expansions, which took full effect on January 1, 2014. […] The share of Americans enrolled in Medicaid rose from 17.5 percent in 2013 to 19.5 percent in 2014, while the share with private coverage rose from 64.1 percent to 66.0 percent. Thus, 2014 is the first year since 2000 in which both Medicaid and private coverage grew by statistically significant amounts. That's because health reform expanded Medicaid to more low-income adults and it provides subsidies to help people with modest incomes purchase private coverage through the health insurance marketplaces.That's in states that expanded Medicaid. CBPP also notes that the gap in uninsured rates between states that didn't take Medicaid expansion and those that did grew to 3.6 percentage points in 2014. At the same time, the uninsured rate fell by at least one-eighth in every demographic group the Census data covers—gender, age, family income, working status, and race/ethnicity. Gains for African Americans were particularly notable. The insured rate for that group fell by more than a quarter in 2014, from 15.9 percent to 11.8 percent. The Census data, however, wasn't all good news. Despite these gains, the percentage of people living in poverty remained essentially unchanged, and way too high. That makes 2014 "the fourth consecutive year in which the number of people in poverty was not statistically different from the official estimate for the prior year."

Bernie Sanders was a one-man fact bomb on CNN, as
the Democratic presidential candidate told the truth about the
Republican pattern of falsely blaming President Obama for every problem.
Sanders said, “What was really remarkable was the
way that they avoided every single problem facing humanity is
attributable to Barack Obama. He has caused all the problems. We seem to
have forgotten that when the shrub left office 800,000 people were losing
their jobs every single month. The world’s financial system was on the
verge of collapse, and our deficit was a record-breaking $1.4 trillion.”
Senator Sanders also hit the Republican pretender
candidates for their false claim that Democrats don’t want to solve the
immigration crisis, and he called them out for wanting to do nothing on
climate change.
Sanders was correct. The default Republican position
on every question during the two debates was to blame Obama.
Republicans took zero responsibility for the mess that they created.
Republican pretender candidates love to rewrite history by claiming
that all of the problems started with President Obama.
Republicans ignore the fact that Obama has spent
much of presidency cleaning up the mess that was left behind by the shrub and their cabal. The only mention of the shrub all night was that he
“kept us safe.” This claim ignores the fact that the shrub was also the
pretender who dropped the ball and allowed the terrorists to kill 3,000
Americans on 9/11.
Bernie Sanders is not standing by and allowing
Republicans to wipe the record clean of the shrub years. Republicans
nearly destroyed the global economy, and Senator Sanders is not going to
let them demean the good work that President Obama has done.
Fact Check: Hillary Clinton Says Having A Democrat In The White House Is Better For Economy
Hillary Clinton told Wolf Blitzer that the economy
performs better under Democratic presidents. Let’s look at the data to
see if Clinton’s statement matches up with the facts.
During an interview on CNN today, Hillary Clinton said:
I will say this. I think if you look at the last
35 years, actually going back further, I think it’s pretty indisputable
that having a Democrat in the White House is good for our economy.
Better for the economy than the alternative.
I think my husband understood that and
produced. I think President Obama inherited a really big and dangerous
mess and has been able to get us out of that ditch, so I’m not running
for my husband’s third term. I’m certainly not running for President
Obama’s third term. I’m running for my first term, but I do believe that
both of them understood what it would take to clean up the messes that
they inherited from their predecessors.
The facts back up Clinton’s point.
An analysis of seventy-five years worth of economic data by economist Steve Stoft, and attorney/economic researcher Nathan Salminen revealed that Democratic presidents create a lot more jobs than Republicans.
Stoft found that Democrats have created twice as
many jobs as Republicans. From 1940-2014, Democratic presidents have
created 74 million jobs, while Republicans have created 35 million jobs.
A second analysis by economists Alan Blinder and Mark Watson
revealed that the economy grows more under Democratic presidents than
Republicans. Real economic growth was nearly two points higher under
Democratic presidents. The paper also found that Democratic presidents
leave the economy in better shape, “Democrats inherit growth rates
averaging 0.6% from the final year of the previous Republican president,
while Republicans inherit growth rates averaging 3.8% from outgoing
Democrats. Thus, the election of a Democrat seems to turn things around
on a dime while the election of a new Republican seems to signal a
recession.”
Historical data shows that Hillary Clinton was
telling the truth. The economy has historically performed better when a
Democrat occupies the White House.

Lately, Reagan is being held as a modern-day
saint by the Republican establishment. Here are some truth bombs to
prove they are wrong.
1: Reagan passed the largest tax increase in history in 1982. He
also, in 1986, became the first president to cut taxes on the super rich
while raising taxes on the poor.

2:Everyone wants to complain about “tax and spend Liberals”. Reagan
inherited a 930 billion dollar debt. When he left office the debt was 3 trillion. He borrowed more money than every president from George Washington to Jimmy Carter COMBINED.
Reagan was the ULTIMATE borrower and tax and spend president ever. Period. Even idiot George W. did not triple the debt during his presidency, although his dollar amount is higher.
3:Ronald Reagan created Osama Bin Laden. Reagan spent billions
training Islamic fundamentalists in Afghanistan, to fight a proxy war
against the Soviet Union. These people later became the Taliban.
Basically, Ronald Reagan was responsible for the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history and changing the world forever, in regards to modern terrorist states.

Don Rickles Endorses Trump

The “king of the insult comedians,” Don Rickles, has endorsed Trump for pretender. The 89-year-old comic believes Trump is the right man for the job. Rickles observed, “He’s the fearless kind of guy we need as the leader of the free world. Who else has hair like that and has the nerve to be seen in public?”
When asked if he truly believed Trump had a chance against the other, more established candidates, Rickles replied, “ He’s got as good a chance as any of those other hockey pucks … and punkette. Fiorina, now there’s a face only Stevie Wonder could love!”
Asked if Trump could win a presidential contest against the Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton, Rickles quipped, “Hey if the woman can’t satisfy Slick Willie, how can she satisfy America?”
Rickles revealed he has been a friend of the Trump family for over 65 years. “I remember Donnie when he was just a little snot nosed kid sitting on his mama’s lap. Even back then I could see the brilliant mind and potential greatness. In grammar school, he used to pay a few pennies to this big kid, Bruno, to bully the faggy kids out of their lunch money.”
When asked if Trump has the temperament to deal with other world leaders, Rickles snapped,” Oh sure! You put him in a room with Putin and I’m telling you there’d be a price toupee! Get it? Folks, I got a million of ‘em!”
On a more serious note, the lifelong Democrat, also known as “Mr. Warmth,” was asked why he was supporting a Republican. “Hey, some of my best friends have been Republican. Did you know Sinatra was a closet Republican? But the real reason? We insult comics stick together.”
