The Republicans' Magic Calendar.
Stung by Trump's self-evident truth that history did not begin on September 12, 2001 and end at noon on January 20, 2009, Jeb asked, "Does anybody actually blame my brother for 9/11?" As it turns out, this is hardly the first time the former Florida idiot complained about the unkindness the calendar has shown his brother. In August 2012, Jeb declared it was "unbecoming" for Barack Obama to continue to "blame others" for the economic calamity he inherited from the shrub, and went so far as to suggest the president should be "spanked" for pointing the finger at his brother. And in April 2009—just weeks after Obama entered the Oval Office in the midst of the greatest American economic calamity since the Great Depression—Jeb protested:
"If I had one humble criticism of President Obama, it would be to stop this notion of somehow framing everything in the context of 'Everything was bad before I got here' and focus on his duties, which we all want him to succeed. But constantly pushing down the previous president to make yourself look good I think is a bad thing."
Of course, these are pretty amazing statements for Jeb to make. After all, from the moment the shrub first took the oath of office Republicans—including Dumbya himself—have never stopped blaming Bill Clinton and even Barack Obama for the slaughter of 3,000 Americans and the dismal economic performance that occurred during the shrub's watch.
Just ask Republican agitator and former Dick Cheney adviser Mary Matalin. In December 2009, she could have been speaking for the entire shrub team when she offered this masterpiece of Republican turd polishing:
"I was there, we inherited a recession from President Clinton, and we inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation's history."
Just because the talking point was wrong on both counts didn't prevent conservatives before and after her from vomiting it up.
